CodeCraft School Bootcamp Review

CodeCraft School, located in Boulder, Colorado, was founded in 2004 and offers training in full stack web development as well as UX design. The program can be taken as an intensive, 10-week, full-time course, or as a 20-week, part-time course. Both courses must be taken in person. Tuition is $9,500, which can be financed through one of the school’s outside lenders. CodeCraft is also a part of the Workforce Investment Act training program. Prorated refunds are dependent on how many classes the student has attended.
CodeCraft teaches JavaScript only, though it is recommended that students also learn another programming language at some point in their career. During the course, students attend hiring and network events to connect them to potential employers. Though there is no job guarantee, students have access to the alumni network and ongoing career support post-program. One of CodeCraft’s primary goals is to prepare students for the tech industry as best as possible.
CodeCraft also partners with Boulder Digital Arts, meaning students can take any of the lecture-style courses for free, three months before their cohort and three months after. Students are required to own an Apple laptop, but many of the lending options include the cost of the computer. No experience or education in coding is necessary, though some pre-program work can be helpful or deemed necessary by CodeCraft.
