The Skill Distillery program runs for 20 weeks, teaches full stack web development and costs $16,000. Financial assistance with payment deferral is available and GI Bill benefits are accepted. Also offered is financing for a laptop (a MacBook is required for the course) and moving expenses to live in Colorado. However, there is no financal help for food or housing, though classes provide beverages and snacks throughout the day. Some employers will sponsor students.
Class is held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. every weekday, with an hour and a half programming session directly after. The curriculum combines lecture with hands-on experience to produce excellent programmers. The program is limited to 20 students per cohort, and no prior experience is required, though students must be 18 to apply. The application process takes a week.
